Brandi Hallmark - Founder

Mrs. Hallmark is the Founder and Director of Learn Upstate Tutoring and Liberty Oaks Academy. Liberty Oaks was created for families who want a small, student-centered alternative to large, standardized classrooms—where children are truly known, supported, and challenged in the way they learn best.

Mrs. Hallmark received her B.S. from the University of Alabama in International Marketing and Spanish. After college, she worked in corporate environments managing Customer Service, Corporate Training, and Human Resources, while knowing her long-term path was education. She later earned a Master’s in Teaching from Anderson University and taught in a variety of school settings throughout Anderson County.

Through both public and private school teaching, she saw firsthand how many capable students struggle not because they lack potential, but because they need a different approach. Her work in the homeschool community reinforced that many families were searching for an environment built around the child—not a one-size-fits-all system. Learn Upstate Hybrid Academy grew out of that mission, and Liberty Oaks Academy followed as a not-for-profit school expanding access to this individualized, relationship-based model of learning.

Mrs. Hallmark especially enjoys helping students experience success in school, creating new ways to learn, and collaborating with staff to build confidence in every learner. She is married to Joey Hallmark and has four children. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, traveling, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
